Debut release from The Myrrors side-project Curved Entrances, a heavy free-improv noise/psych trio featuring guitarists Nik Rayne and Connor Gallaher and drummer Grant Beyschau. Born out of after-hours rehearsals soon after Rayne and Beyschau hooked up with Gallaher's own Tucson project The Night Collectors, this album features the first two improvisations ever laid down by the formation, and despite the relative age of the recordings is hopefully a teaser for more material to come!

Dave Cambridge over at the label Cardinal Fuzz writes that "whatever spiritual incantations were placed before this rehearsal no-one can no longer remember but these two recordings stand as a testament that something very special was happening that night. This is psychedelia of the cosmic/koummune vibe as the trio strike up from an earthy hypnotic opening refrain until they hit a shamanistic ecstatic state that is both spellbinding and enrapturing. A band playing in their own space and caught under their own spell of improvisation that takes both band and the listener on a sonic nirvana as [they] open your mind via the power of amplification and elevation. So please open up your mind and let everything come through – [they] may just have found the key to the kingdom of heaven."

Really interesting flavors in a soundscapes of this album. An album that doesn't wear out by listening. You always find interesting new details in a rich texture of instruments. I have never been a big fan of sax but this album may change my opinions. Really surprising mix of traditional blue grass instruments but yet really exotic atmospheres. Definitely worth of listening.
